BIMI and VMC
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) ties a domain's DMARC posture to a logo — often backed by a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or Common Mark Certificate (CMC).
Typical flow
- Confirm DMARC enforcement is in place
- Analyze the BIMI DNS record and hosted SVG
- Inspect the VMC/CMC certificate when present
